Café on the Avenue will open with a full lunch menu beginning in 2008. It has been built as part of the West Valley Art Museum to offer an American menu and refreshments for visitors to the museum. The café will also feature local vineyards and cuisine.

Cliff Garrett Memorial Rodeo has been going on for 51 years and counting. Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come watch the wild rodeo fun, but have to be employees of Arizona divisions of AiResearch/Garrett/AlliedSignal/Honeywell companies. The rodeo runs in late October and admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children, age six to twelve. The proceeds benefit Arizona charities.
